“Whilst I can see the technology is really clever, it doesn't really work for high sided/ankled walking boots - Meindl Island Lady - The instructions say periodically check the piston. On a long day walk, that means undoing the boot and taking the foot out. This isn't really practical, especially if it is raining
It's not ankle guards fault. I was trying to use them for something they are not designed for. I can see on an approach shoes/trainers they would be brilliant but sadly not on my walking boots”
