“I’ve been using the BetterGuard 3.0 recently and wanted to share some feedback.
Overall, I really like it. It definitely feels like the ankle is properly supported and blocked when needed, which gives a lot more confidence while riding. The concept and functionality are great, and in general the system works well.
However, I noticed a couple of issues during use.
After the second time using it, I ended up rubbing the skin on the left side (where the smart blocker is located) to the point that it caused a small wound and bleeding. It seems like that area creates a lot of friction during longer sessions.
On the right side, in order for the brace to stay properly in place, the strap needs to be tightened quite firmly. Over time this creates strong pressure on the cord/strap area. After about 3–4 hours of using it starts to cause noticeable discomfort, and I can still feel slight pain for a few days afterwards.
If needed, I can send photos showing the skin irritation and the affected areas for reference.
Overall I still like the product and the idea behind it, but I thought this feedback might help improve comfort in future versions.”
