“I've was gifted some honey from Big Island a couple of years ago so I know how great the honey is. I'm a bit of a honey fanatic, trying new varieties whenever I can. So far, I've tried only the Wilelaiki blossom from Big Island Bees, and I would put it in my quot,Top 3quot, all-time best honey list. I might even put in the 1 slot! And I haven't even tried the other two varieties yet! I also had a great service experience lately. I ordered a couple of jars of honey. They arrived fast, but one of them had a leaky seal. The box may have been damaged in transit. When I reported that to Laurie at Big Island Bees, her attitude was very courteous and proactive, and she said she would replace it ASAP. I think the replacement jar made the trip from Hawaii to Texas in two days! All in all, a great experience.”
“Kudos to the wonderful folks at Big Island Bees! We recently visited them on the big island and learned some fascinating things about the bees and how important they are to our ecosystem. We got to see up close a very active hive, the queen busy at work, recently laid eggs, workers including the infamous waggle dance. Don't miss this opportunity if you are on the big island. After the tour, we tasted a variety of honey all of which were delicious. We ended up purchasing jars for all our adult kids as a Christmas gift and the team at BIB took care of all the packaging and shipping. “I had opportunity to visit Big Island Bees earlier this year and shipped some honey home (which everyone enjoyed), so when looking for something other than the usual gift basket to send to out of town relatives for Christmas I thought of honey. Highly recommended. Shipping was fast. My only suggestion would be to have an option to indicate that order is gift and allow sender to add message (I am not sure if I missed it).”
