“I'm very surprised to see this, especially from a company that could be making honey from many other native species and encouraging their growth. Christmas berry is one of the most invasive species in Hawaii, and is a very big problem for native species on the big island. This is not a review for the honey as much as it is for the effects of the product which reflects poorly on the company. I'm a 5 generations deep local to the big island and I am very disappointed to see this. Here is a company actively turning the other cheek to the harmful effects of this product for their own personal monetary gain. I will continue to enjoy the Ohia lehua honey because it is truly the best honey in the world, but just know that this honey is encouraging the growth of a very invasive species, and you should consider that before purchasing. It should not be for sale in the first place, but that is the company's kuleana.”
“If you think honey is all the same, you have not tasted Big Island Bee's honey. Great on yogurt, toast, desserts, baking. You can tell when you use quality ingredients. You will not be disappointed.”
