“This is an excellent fly if you are headed up to fish Alaska or BC rivers for Sockeye. Superior to the Kenai/Russian River fly commonly used. Two advantages to this fly, the hook rides up to prevent snagging and because it is weighted it gets to where the Sockeye are. As to whether they "bite" it or not, I will let you decide. I would highly recommend this fly for river sockeye fishing. They also have very durable hooks that will not bend out.”
