“I ended up buying a bag of both the fly clips and the twist clips and the twist clips win. Size 2 Twist Clips ... These are great.Twist clips are great for streamers bigger nymphs because the twist design makes the flies easier to get on and off and you naturally are going to use bigger sized flies. This makes for an easy to change out set up.Size 2 fly clips ... MEHThe fly clips on the other hand we not great. The diameter of the spring steel was too big for the eyelets of a lot of the smaller flies I bought it for (10-12). The wire gauge was almost as large as the twist clips made for larger hooks (4-8). Also getting the flies off the clips is a pain in the butt because it's too small and it's hard to get leverage to get the fly off the clip. This wasnt a problem with the twist since they are bigger and the twist motion makes it easier to get leverage to get the fly off the clip. Good idea but the twist clips are a superior design in my opinion.”
