“I wanted to swim with the new suit for a couple of weeks before reviewing. Bottom line it's a great suit. For the past 15 years I've worn Xterra and Roka suits. The Blue 70 is probably the best for the following reasons:
Bouyancy. The panels that provide bouyancy are virtually unnoticeable. Other suits I've felt that my legs were paralyzed by the floatation. With this suit my legs are free to do some work.
Entry / Exit. Might seems minor but wow is this suit is easy to get on and off. I used to dread wearing other suits because I couldn't get them off. The interior lining is really quick, and peels right off.
No Body Glide Required. Probably more subjective to your body posture, but I have not developed any rubbing / rashing around the neck line. The neck zipper / Velcro flap seems a bit odd the first few times but it works. I used a ton of body glide with suits to manage rash and to get the suit off my ankles.
Warmth / Fit / Flexibility. It checks all the boxes. Open water season is just starting up in Maine but I feel faster sooner than I usually am (after a so so pool season)
One (minor) complaint :) I always loved the Blue 70 blue / orange color schemes for suits I've seen at races. Sadly, this suit is black and yellow but still awesome. Maybe the B70 team can hook me up with blue / merch so I can represent on the dryland.”
