“I have never swam in a Wetsuit before. I put it on, no troubles. I watched the video! At first, about five minutes into my swim, it felt a little tight across my chest. I took a little breather, relaxed a little and realized that’s just the nature of a wetsuit. I’m used to not having anything around my upper body. Caught my breath, got my breathing under control, and went back to my swim. I swam about a half mile, in a lake, and by the time I was finished, I had almost forgotten that I was wearing a wetsuit. For me, I like having my shoulders not restricted. I’m sort of a large guy, broad in the shoulders and waist region (wouldn’t hurt to lose 20-40 pounds) so I think the Short John was a good choice for me. It wasn’t a cold day, and the water temp wasn’t really cold, so I can’t address if it kept me warm or not. I didn’t feel overheated and I swam with a medium effort for more than twenty minutes. I’m pleased with the suit. Pretty easy on and off process, even if I am new to wetsuits.”
