The only issue with this wetsuit (and how many others have repeatedly said) is its zipper and that you have to connect it at the neck area. I’m very surprised that the manufacturer never tried to put it the other way around like most other brands. So, I will have to always ask someone to help … if I don’t have the time and nerve to do it myself.”

Glad you love the Helix. Wanted to jump in as the zipper question we get often. It was a conscious decision to make the Helix with a reverse zipper. It is faster in transition and puts less bulk at the base of your neck which tends to be more comfortable and reduce chafing. Many people do not like this zipper, but as the Helix is our professional level / racing specific suit, whenever we query our professional athletes they all overwhelmingly prefer the reverse zip. Having a buddy zip you is the best option but with practice it can be done more easily solo as well. You can watch our video to help with that, and practice until it's easier. Hope that is helpful.

Sorry to hear that you are not a fan of the Helix zipper. For those looking for the highest quality in a wetsuit but with a standard bottom to top zipper we recommend trying our Reaction, it is very similar to the Helix. Overall though, we always recommend having a buddy zip up your wetsuit for all of our models as it is always easier and its better for the suit, as you are less likely to damage a zipper by pulling too hard if it's stuck if the person zipping can see how it's stuck.
