“Originally bought the WML, as I'm 5'8", ~150-155lbs. Athletic to curvy body shape with a larger lower body and smaller waist - while super easy to get on on land, I had water pooling in my chest and water coming into my arms. The WM was a perfect fit - I found it worked best when I pulled the wetsuit up high on my body, then brought a little water into the suit so I could adjust the arms perfectly. NO tension, no tightness, just cutting through the water perfectly by my 3rd swim. Perfect for IMLP.”
“Bought this for an ocean swim class, and am very happy with it. Although I’ve had numerous surf wetsuits, this is my first swim specific wetsuit. Therefore I don’t have any reference to other swim specific brands out there. But, from what I’m experiencing so far, it’s really great. Warm enough for our 62 degree water. Flexible. No region feels uncomfortable. Am planning on buying the thermal version next, to be able to swim in our colder season.”
“I had a different brand long sleeve prior to this. The arm flexibility was terrible. This one is worth the splurge! It’s amazing doesn’t rub and the flexibility in swim strokes feels like you almost don’t have it on.”
“I’ve swum 40 miles in this wetsuit over 16 swims, including a 7-miler, and waited to review it until I’d really put it to the test. This wetsuit fits like a second skin—I absolutely love it! It has kept me warm and comfortable in SoCal water temperatures ranging from 58º to 65º. (I switch to my Blue 70 Thermal Reaction below that!) At 5'8" and 135 pounds, size Medium fits me perfectly.
Having owned a 2014 Reaction that lasted many seasons, I can confidently say the 2024 model is a huge upgrade. The lower-profile neck eliminates chafing (I always use BodyGlide). The suit ends at the base of my calves and thinner neoprene on the back panel makes removal much faster. The neoprene itself feels softer, higher quality, and more durable than other brands I’ve tried.
Even as a seasoned wetsuit user, I appreciated the donning and removal videos, which offered helpful tips to minimize strain on the suit and easily remove the sleeves.
The only improvement I’d suggest is an integrated suit saver to protect the Velcro collar tab from snagging on the lining. While I made one myself, it would be a welcome addition and is a standard feature on my scuba suit.”
