“I started "cold water" swimming 4-5 yrs ago just because I wanted to swim year round in my local swimming hole, Lake Padden, in Bellingham. This wetsuit is absolutely amazing. At the end of last January, I swam for 70 minutes in 36 degree water and 2 days later, I swam 40 minutes in 34 degree water before I was scheduled to have thumb/hand surgery. I would not have been able to achieve that in any other suit than the Blue70 thermal reactive. My husband goes with me and paddles in his surfski for safety. I have to admit that I was feeling slightly hypothermic during that 34 degree swim and made it to shore as quickly as possible. I have accessories for cold water swimming from other countries but it's the suit that keeps me warm. I always rinse it out after swimming. The inside dries incredibly fast. FYI: I have had 2 hip replacement surgeries, rotator cuff repair and hand surgeries since Sept 2019 and each time I get back in the water stronger than before. I will be 70 yrs old in 6 weeks, am 5'3" tall and weigh 159 lbs.”
