“I have worn Blundstones for over 40 years, when the change came in moving manufacture to Vietnam the size changed from me being a 10 to a size 11. Now the decision to move from the 500 style for everyday wear to the 600 style made in China I have found the size 11 is too small as it now has a lining but would be too big if I went to a size 12. Have gone back to the 500 style in a size 11 but pay twice as much for a more basic boot!! Racking up a lot of boots that are too small.”
“Probably my 10th pair of 500s. So sad they’re made overseas. The soles disintegrated prematurely on my last pair. The sole came away from the heel on the right boot, probably from ‘kicking’ that boot off. I’ve read the advice about soles disintegrating so will wear them regularly and try to be more careful when taking them off. Because I was unhappy with the life of my last pair, I purchased a pair of Redbacks at the same time as they’re made in Australia, about half the price and received great reviews on-line. The Redbacks are tight across my foot and feel ‘higher’ than the Blunnies. It’s hard to explain but my foot feels better planted in the Blunnies. The top of the Redbacks is much looser and they ride up and down my heels more than the 500s. The 500s feel better but I’m a 500 bloke so you would expect this. The Redbacks are too ‘worksite’ to wear in the office. All up, I regret buying the Redbacks at the moment but this may change as I break them in. I’d like to update this review in 6 months but I’m not that well organised.”
