“This is my second pair of Blundstones as my first pair which I purchased in Canada in 2018 are starting to look a little worse for wear.
Unfortunately, this pair, which I recently purchased online from Blundstone Australia, do not seem to feature the same level of finish as my original pair. The first pair must have been made for a North American market as they were made in Mexico, while this new pair, which come from Vietnam presumably are for the Australian market. I understand the need for closer and cheaper manufacturing, however, it is a bit disappointing that the new pair I purchased are not like for like.
My original boots have a really nice leather lining which is missing from my new pair and overall the new pair seem more cheaply made.
The one upside is that at least the size and fit was the same between the two pairs.
It will be interesting to see if they wear as well as my original pair. I love my first pair and up to now have told anyone who would listen in Australia about how good they are, it's such a shame I won't be able to recommend my new pair anymore.”
