“This is my 5th pair of Blundies. In terms of fit I think the Classics are still my favorite.
My last pair were All Terrains and those were a disappointment in terms of durability. The Vibram sole on them wore out significantly faster than my other pairs and insole was insubstantial and had to be replaced. They also seemed to breathe less and smell more than any previous pair.
The Lugs have a much beefier sole and an impressively substantial insole with better arch support than any of my previous pairs and I hope that they'll go the distance.
The fit on these is much roomier than my previous pairs. The volume of the toe box feels much larger, to the extent that I almost need to double up on insoles to keep my foot from bouncing around inside it. The interior length seems about the same as my previous pairs but there is just a lot more vertical room so I'm not sure if downsizing would actually help. The insoles are the same size but the lugs are a significantly larger shoe (see photos).
These are also about 10% heavier than my previous pairs which I definitely noticed at first.”
