“Perfect winter boot! Great for going to and from the mountain and over to apres. Only shoe I brought for a week in Colorado—cute with jeans and sturdy enough for mountain conditions”
“These are beautiful Blundstones. They are NOT warm! I've been looking for a warm ankle boot to replace my several-years-old winter Ariats which have been very trusty and I love them. When I found these, with sheepskin footbeds and Thinsulate lining I thought I hit the jackpot. The operative word here is "THINsulate" and that's what they are. Even if I'm wearing them around the house in chillier weather, my feet get cold. I nearly returned them for a non-lined pair, but didn't because I love the boot so much. So, unless you have no problem with paying extra for very little extra warmth, I wouldn't recommend them as warm-weather boots. They are waterproof and clean up easily. I would not expect them to keep my feet warm in the snow or a cold barn.
For size reference, I take a women's 7. My older Blundstones are size 5, which had fit well, just roomy and I have to wear an insole in them. I bought these in a 4.5, figuring they'd stretch a bit. They were big. Wary of doing down to size 4, I went for it anyway. Surprisingly the 4s fit well, but I had to use a shoe horn to get my foot down into them. I do wear warmer, thicker socks with them. Then they were comfy. They've now stretched out just enough to where I can pull them on. But because they are snug, have to use a boot jack to pull them off.”
“Fantastic boots! I went for a 5-mile walk right out of the box and they felt great. Very sturdy, well made, warm and cozy, water and dirt repellant. Excellent winter weather all-purpose boots. Two things I wish I'd checked out ahead of time was the profile. The upper is not as streamlined as I'd hoped, like the other non-insulated boots. It's roomier, which is super comfy, but aesthetically different than anticipated. Also, the extra high ankle is rather snug. It's almost uncomfortable with a thick sock, and impossible to tuck in pant legs, but actually very practical for wet, snowy weather.”
