“As a recent transplant to Northern Washington State, what can I say about a historic, global rockstar of a boot? My love affair with Blundstones started when I visited Vancouver, BC, a few years back and a family friend said their Blundstones had been their mainstay mode of transport since they were young, pointing out their current pair was over 10 years old, emphasizing they had worn the same pair that whole time. The amazing thing is they looked as sturdy and capable as when they first got them, from sole to leather upper! This classic black leather Blundstone is just iconic in design and performance and is a stellar example of a product that lasts for decades against the often harsh and ever-changing elements of the American Northwest and can be seen in its various iterations around the globe not just as standard gear on the streets of Seattle, Vancouver and Anchorage! I love this extra-padded version for wear from fall through spring and, it is for me, just an extension of its dressier cousin the R. M. Williams Chino boot I wear when I want to "class it up". In an age of dwindling skill and value, the Blundstone 566 boot is an investment in many, many years of foot comfort and protection that will pay for itself over time and remind you of the best decision you ever made when it comes to your feet - no if, and or but about it! Cheers to you Blundstone - R. Helmer”
“these shoes are good but the sizing is confusing.
i'm normally a size 9.5 US so i got size 7.
they miiight've been ok after breaking in but i was worried they would be too small, and you can't really wear them around too much before returning, so i sent em back and got 8s. my toe touched the front of the boot ever so slightly.
The 8s are an *ok* fit but really they are kind of big unless wearing THICK thick socks. not terrible-blisters big, but big-enough-you-don't-wanna-climb-a-mountain-in-them-ideally big.
otherwise they're good. very warm in in winter, a bit sweaty in the summer as you would expect for insulated boots but honestly not even that bad since i switched the insoles out for an orthopedic. (shoe was comfortable already, i just had an extra lying around.)
never feels wet in them even walking thru full puddles. i used em for snow (southern new york), no problems all winter.
do not go around kicking things if you don't want them to get scuffed up u_u”
“They run big. I'm a size 9 and ordered a size 8 as recommended and they are still too large.
Other than that they are warm and super water resistant.”
