“This is a gorgeous, sturdy boot that fits true to size and is functional. I hiked a very wet, steep, rocky 3 mile loop in the fall while carrying an infant and these boots were up for the task. No slipping or sliding and were not painful on my feet. The only major downside to these boots is that they are nearly impossible to get on or off easily. I have had my boyfriend struggle to pull them off of me, I struggle every time putting them on and off. They are not a shoe you can step in or out of which is why I had to give two stars.”
“These are my favorite shoes ever. I have hiked in them, worked demo in them, AND I wear them to church when they are clean. Never loved a pair of shoes so much.”
“I love the look of these boots and having no laces is what initially grabbed my interest in them. I need something easy to pull on and off. So far, these boots have been extremely hard to break in because they’re almost impossible to pull off my feet. There’s plenty of room for my feet (with thick or thin socks) once they’re on, so it’s not a size issue, but the instep and heel areas are very stiff. It’s getting easier, but be aware it takes time to break these boots in.
UPDATE: I’ve tried to break in these boots, but I am giving up. They hurt my upper ankles when I wear them and when I try to take them off, it’s almost impossible and I feel like I wanna scream. Super bummed out.”
“This is my second pair of blunt stones. 5stars on the first pair. I thought this model was the same but evidently not. They are SO hard to take on and off. I almost returned them several times but keep thinking they’ll break in and loosen up. I’ve been wearing them everyday for 6 months and although they’re a little easier, it’s ridiculous how hard they still are to get off and on. The best thing about their rigid quality is that my foot is very snug inside and doesn’t slide around. It has been proposed to me that I need to size up but that is not the issue. My toes have plenty of room to wiggle. They are just very stiff boots.”
