While in NYC I wrote this about a blundstone experience: "We were visiting from California and I was standing on Broadway near Walker in my extremely comfortable and readily identifiable boots while my wife finished a phone call.
A young man walks briskly up Broadway and I can see at a glance he has the same boots. He notices me, and my boots, and recognizes that we are both clearly men of good taste. We catch each other’s eye, our heads nod slightly and a small smile appears on both faces as he strides past, without breaking his rhythm. Although I am probably old enough to be his grandfather, we are boot brothers."”
