“I’ve worn Blundstone since 2000 and they are my go to boot for everyday wear. I wear them with dress clothes as well as into the woods! If I owned one shoe, this is it!”
“The 550 boots are great. I have a pair in rustic brown, and they are probably my all-time favorite shoes. They look great and are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. If they have any downside, it’s that the leather is not as thick, and therefore not as durable, as that of other leather boots, but they are more comfortable for the same reason.
My problem with these Antique Brown boots is the color. It is not as-pictured. If you look at the same color in other styles, you’ll see some variation. Darker shades, slightly different hue, more even coloration than that of the 550 Antique Brown boots that are pictured. What I got is more like those variants—it’s an evenly colored dark brown. It looks like a perfectly even layer of fresh brown acrylic paint. I don’t think it can be fairly described as “antique” brown and, in my personal opinion, it looks rather bad. It looks cheap and pleathery, and I regret not returning them when I could.
Maybe they will look better with wear and age. Maybe only I will have a problem with the color, which is why I tried to explain it in detail, and direct others to look at the antique brown on other styles, so y’all can judge for yourself.”
