“We visited Pop-Up Play Village for the first time with my 5-year-old and 11-month-old and had such a lovely morning! From the moment we arrived, the welcome was really warm and friendly, which made a big difference.
The setup is easy to get around and there was plenty to keep both of my children happy and busy, which isn’t always easy with such an age gap! I also loved being able to enjoy a cup of tea while the kids had squash — such a nice, simple touch.
It’s a really easy, reasonably priced morning out and just feels very relaxed and well thought out. We’ll definitely be coming back and would happily recommend it to others!”

“Some well resourced and varied activities but probably too small a space for our very active nearly 3 year old grandson. Not enough space/gaps between tables. Think he might be a bit too old for this.”
Hi Jan,
Thank you so much for your feedback. As a relatively new and small business I really value customer feedback and comments, so thank you for taking the time to do this.
I totally agree with your comments around the lack of space, Friday 4th's set up was not as aesthetically pleasing or practical as my other venues/set ups. As this is a smaller venue, I did cap the number at 15 children (in others I can have up to 30 children).
I do normally set up in larger halls/spaces, but was invited by the school to set up here as they felt there was little on offer for the preschool children in the local community.
Friday was my first play session at this venue and there were a few teething problems which impacted on the time and space I had to set up.
For play sessions I usually try to set up 5 role play areas as I want to provide variety and value for money. I did do this last Friday, but I realise that it was a lot more crowded than I would have liked. So, taking on board your comments and the fact that the room is unlikely to be clear, I will only set up 4 play areas in future which will enable a clearer passage between areas.
Our community play sessions are predominantly attended by preschool aged children due to them being held in term time, however during school holidays we have many older, school aged children attending. We regularly take our role play village into schools, where it is set up for children in foundation, year one and year 2. With these sessions we bring in more reading, writing, mathematics and problem-solving activities tailored to their stage of learning and to align with the EYFS & KS1 curriculums. I don't tend to bring these resources into our preschool community sessions as, typically these resources are not well used by preschool aged children. As you feel your nearly 3-year-old grandson has outgrown our preschool sessions, if I know when you are coming, I would be more than happy to bring along some of the resources to the session that are used in our school sessions, to challenge him more and bring it to his stage of development.
I will be back at Farndon next month, on 2nd May where I hope we will have resolved all the teething issues that Friday's play session presented. I would like to invite you to attend this session, where hopefully you will see our play session in a better light.
Again, my apologies that our session on Friday was not up to my usual standards.
Many thanks,
Kelly
