Tennis at singlegate primary school
“It was my 7 yr old daughters first class today. She has previously had tennis lessons which she thoroughly enjoyed at a different club. Today on collection she was very upset. She said the teacher (at singlegate primary school) said ‘bruv that’s not how you do it’ and then moved her to play with a 9 year old child who he said ‘show her how to play’. My daughter said she felt like she wa rubbish and was embarrassed. I’m very disappointed.”
“My child was disappointed in their first experience of the session.
Their feedback was as follows: the instructor seemed to turn up late, he talked to them like they were 5 year olds not KS2 children. They were just playing basic games not focusing on tennis skills. Instructor spent too much time at the beginning saying that he was strict but could be nice, instead of just getting on with the activity. Overall very disappointed.”

Chess club
“I was surprised to hear that the teacher could not play chess! All the kids did was play the game. I was expecting that they would learn more about chess.”
