Which activity or class did you attend? Little Cutt
Have been visiting Little City at their mobile sessions for years now and was so excited to find out they were getting a permanent base. I visited today for the first time and LOVED the set up. The play space is so inviting and there is so much fun to be had. A great variety of toys on offer. The space itself is extremely clean and clearly well looked after. My only small critique is that I really wish there was a private, separate space to be able to change a nappy close by. Using the toilets in Scott’s by the restaurant is fine but it is quite far away and would be a pain if you had more than one child with you. Aside from that, we loved our visit and already looking to come back as soon as we can.

Which activity or class did you attend? 9:15-10:45
Great venue with lots of toys for different ages range (0-5), our only negative was the loud noise from the garden centre itself during the session. The staff were very friendly and kept up tidying areas during the session. Also, it would be useful to note where mother’s should breastfeed as there was one mother breastfeeding in front of a play area which blocked kids/parents path.

We’ve been attending the little city sessions for over a year now. We’ve always loved the sessions. We were intrigued to see how Little City would turn out at Scott’s Southend and I must admit it’s been really thought out. We’re very happy that babies now have a section too! This was something that was lacking at the other venues. It’s spacious, there’s more to do, more space for children to roam about in, and I like that it’s fenced off away from the cafe area. Cara always does a superb job of organising little city so what I am about to say is no reflection of her. Unfortunately, the cafe area and the overall location of Little City is a bit disappointing. I feel like it’s been placed next to the toy section intentionally which is frustrating. However, this I suppose isn’t something that can be dictated. The cafe area gets really busy with queues that take a while for people to get served. This was never a problem in the other venues with Cara. I appreciate that Scott’s are doing their bit but the girls there need more help. Additionally, there isn’t enough space for people to sit down as they’re are groups of mums who are sitting all down for a chat. The thing that I love about the other venues is that no one really sits down! They all interact with their children, so I feel maybe I am comparing it to the other venues but it’s a bit frustrating when you’re trying to get a table with chairs and have to sit down on the kids table and chairs. It feels like you have to get to the front of the queue to get a table! I also think the priced for the food and drinks are ridiculous. £2.20 for a orange juice for a child is crazy and £4 for a cookie is even crazier.
