Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear how disappointed your daughter felt, and we completely understand how upsetting that must have been for her and for you.
This particular gymnastics club was advertised for Year 5 and 6 pupils, and unfortunately it wouldn’t have been appropriate to include a Year 1 child in that group. While this was clearly stated on the parent communications, we recognise that our booking system didn’t restrict bookings by year group at the time, which allowed the sign-up to go through, and we apologise for that.
Gymnastics clubs rotate by year group across the school, so all pupils will have the opportunity to take part as they move through the years. We truly hope your daughter will join in when it is her turn, especially as we’ve received very positive feedback about the clubs and our coaches.
Following your feedback, we’ve now added age restrictions to our booking system to help prevent this happening again. Thank you for helping us improve.
