“I think this is a great idea but it is wasn't well executed. It was an hour's session and at 20 mins in, all that had happened was that we'd been given name tags. There was a group of residents of the nursing home sitting around where the children were but we were given no guidance on whether we'd have an opportunity to talk to them, whether that was up to us or whether it was not appropriate.
Some songs or activities that directly linked the children to the elderly attendees would be nice e.g. songs where we introduce the children by name. And overall some explanation as to how the session will be run and what's expected of us would make it much more comfortable. As it stands it's a bit awkward.”
Hi Katherine
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t match our expectations. Please know that we’re equally disheartened to learn how you felt, and we genuinely appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us.
These sessions are thoughtfully planned to provide structure while encouraging meaningful intergenerational joy through the power of music. We regret that this particular experience fell short for you, and we understand how disappointing that must have been for you and your little one.
Please be assured that your feedback is being taken seriously and isn't reflective of how our sessions typically are. Please do get in touch with songs@thetogetherproject.org.uk so we can gather more feedback to improve our future sessions.'

“I have been several times to this class, which is a really nice session. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly, and both the babies and residents have a great time.”
