“I purchased this for my wife as an engagement ring less than 3 years ago. Recently, one of the prongs lost tension and the diamond became loose. My wife took the ring off to send to Brilliant Earth to have the prong tightened, and found that the entire ring had bent out of circle (which was surprising, given that a) she has not done anything strenuous or out of the ordinary with it on and b) it's platinum and less than 3 years old). When Brilliant Earth received it, they called to tell us that making it round again and fixing minor scratches on it would cost over two hundred dollars. I said it seemed odd that a nin hundred dollar platinum ring couldn't hold its shape for even 3 years through normal wear-and-tear, and that spending an additional two hundred-plus dollars every 2-3 years for an already expensive ring did not sound like a good long term solution. The support representative said he would ""check with [his] sales manager and get back to"" me. Three business days later, he called and told me the same exact thing -- over two hundred dollars to fix it, no guarantee it would hold it's shape in the future. I told him this was unacceptable, and that I both plan to get another setting from a more reputable company that will back their products, and that I will not buy from Brilliant Earth ever again as a result of this poor experience. Of course, then I got the ""will talk to the manager"" line again, and he asked what time was good to call. I gave him a time an hour later, but never received the call. I will be posting my experience elsewhere so other potential customers of Brilliant Earth are also warned. Apparently platinum is not durable enough to withstand the rigors of wearing it, and Brilliant Earth's solution to customer service is to not back their products and also to disregard basic time courtesy of its customers once they've purchased a product. I consider myself a pretty rational and easy going consumer, so for this experience to be negative enough for my to publicly post what happened for others should tell you something. I'm extremely disappointed with Brilliant Earth's product and their customer service.”

“This engagement ring is so beautiful. I have it set with a 1 ct. stone. It's incredibly elegant and so comfortable. It's looks exactly like Tiffany's classic solitaire setting, except it's eco-friendly! It looks beautiful by its self or with a simple band. I have paired mine with a .85 ct. eternity band and it looks absolutely beautiful. Because the ring has 6 prongs, a band will not sit completely flush against the ring. I personally prefer a wedding set that isn't "perfectly" matched and flush. I like my rings to have a little wiggle room. I think it looks more elegant. :) I tell all my friends about Brilliant Earth because I have never been disappointed! They are truly a fantastic company with beautiful jewelry!”
