“He proposed with a temporary ring and then we picked this one out together. I couldn't find anything with the vintage style I was looking for that was also simple. Everything with milgrain and scrollwork is always accompanied by a swath of diamonds and excessive ornate decoration (by my tastes, anyway). I wanted something unique, vintage and simple, and Brilliant Earth was the best place to find that. A gorgeous, slightly included pear-shaped emerald set in an elevated setting on a delicate vintage platinum band. Absolutely perfect!
The only thing that surprised me once he put it on my finger was the delicateness of the band. The pictures make the scrollwork appear like deep carved ridges and the milgrain seemed larger. At first I was a little disappointed because it didn't look just like the pictures and the band was very thin. But I LOVE it now. The band size is perfect and is dazzling, even in low light. Put it in the sun or light and it's like it's covered in 100 little diamonds.
The most "uniquely me" piece of jewelry I have ever owned. Brilliant Earth for life!
(Minor side note: I incorrectly remember my ring size and ordered a 6.75. When the ring arrived it was very big on me so I took it and myself to 3 jewelers. All measured the ring as a 6.5 and my finger as a 6. Because the 6.75 actually arrived as a 6.5 for my local jewelers, I ordered the resize at a 6.25 and it fits perfectly. It is so comfortable, I can barely tell I have a ring on!)”
