“I chose this setting with an emerald diamond and I was obsessed. Sadly, within a month the prongs were loose. This happened a total of 4 times within 6 months. Brilliant earth continued to "fix" it and it kept happening. Do not shop at brilliant earth and definitely don't get this design.”

“My fiance and I had a good experience trying things on at Brilliant Earth but since have had challenges with the ring and how Brilliant Earth has handled our concerns. I wore my engagement ring for about 2-3 weeks, as a teacher (not high wear and tear) and one night getting ready for bed I noticed my ring wasn't symmetrical. Sure enough, the diamond was loose (see photos). The top (north) part of the diamond could easily shift from left to right (west to east towards the side settings). Think about geometry with me: if the width of the diamond is less that the distance between the north and east (or west) setting, and the diamond rotates enough, it could pop out. I even took it to another jeweler for another opinion and was told that it wasn't secure and that just tightening the setting wouldn't stay secure forever- it needs more support. However when we sent it in to Brilliant Earth, they told my fiance that it's secure and they can tighten it for free, but we can't get a new setting for free- it's not a "manufacturing error" they said. My problem is that we weren't informed this setting wasn't structurally sound for an oval shaped diamond. If we knew that, we wouldn't have picked it. Maybe it's secure for other shape that have equal sides (round or square), but not for oval. The setting is beautiful but not worth it to lose the diamond. So we are going elsewhere to get a new setting that I can wear without worrying about losing the beauty diamond my sweet fiance purchased.”

“Overall I was very satisfied with the quality of the diamond I got for my fiancee. It was 1.86 carats and good quality and it looks great. I got the north star setting to make it simple, different, and elegant.
I will say it's hard to decide when you can't see all the settings in person, I think I was lucky that I wanted something that they had on site in SF. I got the wrong size but briallant earth is taking care of that.
I recommend the lab diamonds - cheaper and don't support the current industry which we all know is terrible for so many people.”
