“I purchased this ring to propose to my then girlfriend, now fiance, and she said yes, not knowing what she was getting herself into. Heck, what I was getting myself into.
Since the proposal, people have questioned my income and net worth constantly - it is becoming an issue. There isn't a day that goes by that my fiance or I aren't badgered with questions regarding just how much money I make.
The problem is that this ring, even with just a .80 carat circle cut center stone, is gorgeous and deceptively big. The center stone is beautifully complimented by the surrounding stones, making it appear much larger than it is - this has now lead to speculation on whether or not I am laundering money, and I am now going through intense rounds of interrogation - why were we not warned about this??
Luckily, the ring is currently getting resized and my fiance is wearing a silicone ring for the time being. This has bought us some time but we know this won't last long thanks to the quick, easy, and free of charge resizing process.
