“I love this ring! The twisted band adds delicate beauty and personality without being overwhelming or garish. I receive so many compliments and find myself staring at it. :)
Some tips: I prefer yellow gold to white gold, but I went with white gold for this ring. When I tested out a similar style in-person at a jewelry store, I found that yellow gold (and rose gold) distracted from the diamond twist band. My eye was drawn to the color of the metal rather than to the sparkle of the diamonds. I also went with white gold over platinum because white gold is supposedly more durable over time. Finally, I recommend maxing out at one carat for this style. The beauty of the twisted band is tied to the fact that you can--duh--actually see the twists. A stone larger than one carat will obscure the twist closest to the stone, and since your other fingers will obscure the twist farthest from the stone, you will be left with a band that appears to fold into the center rather than twist around itself. If that's fine with you, great, but I love the twisted look, so I wanted to be sure to pass along that tip.
One note of caution: I've worn this band for four months and already lost one of the pave diamonds (the tiny ones in the band). :( Apparently this is common with pave diamonds and I'm going to lose more. Brilliant Earth's customer service was good about fixing it (unsure of price) but I had to be willing to mail it away for 3-4 weeks. I didn't want to do that because (a) c'mon, I want to wear it, and (b) I don't trust the mail with this ring. So I had it fixed with a local jeweler instead. He told me to remove the ring whenever I cook, do housework, exercise, or anything else active. It's a shame, but I do love the design. So keep that in mind when deciding on any style that includes pave diamonds.
I also bought the twisted vine wedding band. I haven't worn it other than simply trying it on because I'm not married yet, so I can't speak to how it holds up over time (I imagine the same as the engagement band). I will tell you that they don't nestle together as perfectly as I would have wished, but I kind of figured that when I bought them based on their respective shapes. They do nestle more closely than some other sets I've seen.”
