“Here's a review after owing their product for 3 months: My fiance and I purchased this setting in Jan. 2023 with a small oval moissanite center stone in 14K yellow gold. I received my ring on Feb. 13th, 2023 right when they said I would. I wore my ring from the day I picked it up. I made sure not to wear it if I was doing anything intense but this is a piece of jewelry I wore on a daily basis. On April 2, 2023 I looked at my ring at the end of the day because a section felt sharp. One of the marquise side stones had fallen out. I did very normal activities that day (grocery shopped, walked the dog, cooked). I have no idea when it fell out. I couldn't pinpoint a single activity that would have snagged the ring. Thankfully, we had purchased the 3 yr. Extend warranty when we bought the ring. I filed a claim on 4/4 for the repair. The warranty covered the repair for free. The ring was dropped off for repair on 4/6 at a Brilliant Earth showroom. I did not receive my ring back until April 23rd (the original estimated date was 5/3). I had the ring checked one more time when I was picking it up to ensure the prongs on all the stones were tight. They assured me, they were. I was also told 4 weeks is a typical amount of time for a repair because they only have 2 places they send to for repairs. I again wore the ring on a daily basis, making sure not to do anything too extreme with it. On May 3rd, I looked at the ring in the evening and one of the prongs on the center stone was pulled up slightly and the center stone was loose. The most ""intense"" thing I did in the week and a half I had it back was put on gloves. This ring and its craftsmanship has been unable to withstand 3 months of wear (3 of the weeks I didn't even have it). When I picked up my ring from the first repair, I was told Brilliant Earth only has a ""lifetime warranty"" for manufacturer defects. Which means if you don't purchase the extended warranty and you loose a stone or a prong comes loose due to ""normal wear and tear"", you have to pay (even if you haven't even had the ring for 3 months). Also, if you get your ring serviced by any other jeweler, it will void the lifetime warranty and the extended warranty. This is not a shocking terms and conditions, all things considered however, when their repairs take a month, it's hard to stomach that timeline on a piece of jewelry that means so much. Local jewelers in my city will finish repairs in a week or less and do all of it in-house. Brilliant Earth has some beautiful settings and I love the timeless simplicity of a lot of their products, but as a consumer please research the company and quality before you buy. If you're looking for a piece of jewelry you're going wear everyday day for the rest of your life, maybe these products aren't for you. Digging into it more after I have had these issues, the company has a 3.5/5 from customers from the Better Business Bureau. Many of the complaints filed have to do with rings breaking multiple times and possibly even needing to be remade. I am hesitant to take the ring back to them, even though they would repair it for free with my warranty, because I am not confident in their ability to repair it correctly. Consider the craftsmanship, the repair timelines and warranty information of this company before you buy from them.”
