“First, I'll say that I had a really positive shopping experience with Brilliant Earth. I was able to find, customize, and purchase a _beautiful_ ring for my future fiancee. It arrived within a reasonable time-frame, and the included diamond grading/certification made me feel confident in my purchase. However, the ring showed up with one of the small accent diamonds missing! My fiancee noticed it right away after I proposed to her. We were eager to get it fixed and back on her finger, so we reached out to Brilliant Earth the very next day. The customer service representatives that we worked with were very polite and professional. They gave us instructions on where to bring the ring for repairs and, after inspecting the ring, told us that the repair would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Great! So we left the ring with them, and we waited. And waited. And waited! We didn't hear anything for weeks, and when we got in touch with the representative again, we were told that it wouldn't be ready for another few weeks. All told, we ended up waiting over a month to get that little accent stone replaced. It was especially frustrating since this was a manufacturer's defect that was being fixed, and not something that we had any control over. It was a huge bummer to have to explain to our friends and family that we didn't have the ring to show them while we were celebrating our engagement. We wish that we just paid for a local jeweler to fix the ring rather than sending it back to Brilliant Earth. My recommendation: go ahead and buy from Brilliant Earth, but don't hold your breath if you need to get repairs done.”
