“Initially I really liked this ring. Very petite and classy looking. This ring is advertised as a match for the Gala ring but is not. Upon arrival, I noticed the accent diamonds do not line up with the Gala ring, and are offset enough that no matter where it was soldered, it would be offset. It also broke right through the metal portion after a few months of wear and by the time I got it back ""repaired"" it was so thin I wouldn't have wanted it on my engagement ring anyway. I'm keeping it as a trashy backup, literally. We asked if we could have a new one custom made to match the Gala ring and be soldered on, and they said absolutely, that's called a contour and they can do that. They proceeded to sell my husband on the warranty even though they would later reveal that it was void with the soldering.. Which they knew was our intention the whole time. Then, rather than do the contour, they just mailed a new ring and kept our engagement ring. We were like.. ok weird, you were supposed to solder it onto the engagement ring. We returned the band with the stipulation that they would again, try to do the contour. They went to do it and then said. nope we can't solder this ring to your engagement ring. WEEKS later. Brilliant earth has basically had my ring longer than I have. After MANY calls they agreed to process a return for the warranty and the wedding band and send back our engagement ring.. which they had failed to make to specs anyway. Long story short, this is probably not a match for your engagement ring and probably cannot be soldered on. If you're intending to keep it separate, that will likely work for you.”
