The disappointment is that I didn't consider the version that has diamonds all the way around the band. Money wasn't a consideration when we chose the ring, but it turns out that the plain band part of the ring is often showing and needs to be swivelled back into hiding. I wish that the sales person had shown us a version that has diamonds all around the band among the options that he did show us. The cost differential is not terrible and I would probably have opted for the full circle. Was he assuming something about what we could afford? First rule of salesmanship: let your customer decide what they can afford. Show them all the options.
I would have exchanged the ring, but life's complications moved the ring to a lower priority and the return period closed. But it still bugs me every time I look at my hand and find the need to re-align the ring.”
