The reason another band is needed is I find the average width of the ring is a bit too narrow, although I love the delicacy of it and wanted a narrow light ring. The simple band takes up some of the slack and also helps keep the Petite Twisted from turning around as readily. The "twist" does extend between the fingers so feels a bit uncomfortable but the simple band addition helps that. It is very beautiful and otherwise perfect.
