“Unlike most of the reviewers, I'm not a newlywed! I've been married 20 years, and I ordered this for myself from my husband. Last spring I lost my wedding band in a parking lot on vacation. In February 2014, we celebrated our 20th anniversary and decided to replace it. I wasn't keen on replacing it at first, but I chose Brilliant Earth because it sources conflict-free diamonds, and our planet is important to me. I also loved its designs which are different from the usual boring settings. I was interested in buying rose gold, which wasn't available when we were married. I love the copper in it. I ordered the Delicate Antique Scroll in rose gold with a 1.05 carat cushion stone, ideal cut, E color, VVS2 clarity. I loved the band's scrolling. However, I didn't notice from the specs that this band (and most of the bands on Brilliant Earth) is only 2mm. My original setting was platinum scroll; I was accustomed to a band that was thicker and heavier than the delicate scroll, and I realized when it arrived that I prefer a wider setting. Although the delicate antique scroll was beautiful, it was too delicate for me. I also wanted something more ornate than a solitaire as it was an anniversary setting. (It certainly was comfortable though!) After living with it for a week, I called Brilliant Earth and decided to do a custom order. I wanted to keep my center diamond from Brilliant Earth but exchange the setting with the Antique Scroll Three Stone Trellis setting in a wider 4mm band. I spoke to Crista about the details and she sent me CAD drawings of the design (both in 3mm and 4mm) for my approval. The entire custom process took 3 1/2 weeks to receive my new setting, one week earlier than promised. I am very happy with my new setting, and the service I received from Brilliant Earth was exceptional. Like some reviewers, I was a bit uncomfortable ordering such an important and expensive item based on website photos, but the process was smooth, and the shipping was overnight and tracked. So I didn't feel like my piece was "out there" in transit for an unnecessarily long period. The Brilliant Earth website is also easy to use and has useful information. My new ring is gorgeous, and because it is custom, it is "me." I couldn't be happier!”
