“I was so excited to try this sunscreen, but I couldn’t get past the smell. As a sunscreen lover, I’ve used many different zinc products, including pure zinc oxide powder. This sunscreen smelled like it had gone rancid and sour, not like the normal earthy scent of zinc. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the trouble of having to buy packaging, create my own return label, and pay for return shipping to send it back. Maybe I got a bad batch, but it’s not worth the risk to try again.”

Mineral formulas can have a naturally earthy scent from the zinc, but they shouldn’t smell rancid or sour, so it’s possible there may have been an issue with that particular bottle. “I absolutely love this sunscreen! It doesn't leave my skin white, it takes very little to cover, and it spreads smoothly over my skin. But the best part, is that it washes off very easily with a mild cleanser. The sunscreen I used to use on my face had so much silicone that I had to wash my face twice to get it all off. This stuff is amazing! And I love the tint, It gives just a tiny bit of coverage. Definitely a keeper!”
“This was a game changer in my daily routine…use it everyday, with foundation for going to work. I wasn’t sure about the tinting at first but now I appreciate the option to go sheer or add foundation on top. The best part of this product is it does not make my eyes sting. “This is my go-to daily moisturizer SPF--it goes on smooth and sheer, and keeps me protected! I love that it's reef-safe (not that I spend a lot of time in the ocean, but all water ends up there eventually, right?) and still goes on a smoothly as my Korean non-zinc sunscreens. It does smell a lil weird but it's a very small price to pay for something that performs perfectly.”
