“This sunscreen is a game changer. I have a sensory aversion to liquid sunscreens and my toddler fights me whenever I try to apply any type of lotion. I’ve tried literally all of the sunscreens; the sticks don’t work for us because you still have to rub the sunscreen in and most mineral sunscreens are greasy and leave a white cast. I found this and it has been a life changer, we are consistent with sun block use now and I can manage to apply it to my toddler. We live in a hot, sunny region and spend a lot of the day outside in full sun. We haven’t burned yet while using this. There is a learning curve, watch some YouTube videos and apply outside for the first use so you don’t accidentally flick the powder everywhere like I did. You do have to make sure it’s rubbed in well, sometimes the initial application is patchy, so brush over each area thoroughly. As with any sunscreen, you may need to apply more frequently than recommended depending on your skin susceptibility, the UV index, whether you are using other skin products, your activity, etc. I have tan olive skin, the translucent powder goes on a bit white, but once it is rubbed in well and absorbs, you can’t tell I have sunblock on. Doesn’t feel greasy either. Just get it!”

Hi Barbi! The bristles deliver the powder onto your skin, so if powder is flying out then yes, it is a waste. When you flick the brush before you apply, try lightening up how hard you are flicking it to help prevent as much powder from escaping the bristles. The flick motion helps move the power from the reservoir into the center base of the bristles when you first start the brush. From there, the brush self dispenses with the motion of buffing on the skin.
