“Easy to assemble. As good as advertised. I wish it rocked back a little farther, but it's not a big deal. I would buy it again but doubt I'll ever need to do so. It's heavy duty.”
“Chair was inexpensive. Company is great and would do business with again, it got to me quickly. I can't lift well but box is not excessively heavy, it's a big box so you might want a hand cart. Delivery was to my door, which turned out to be good as the box would have definitely not fit in my Honda Accord.
The chair like all things comes in pieces for assembly at home. All pieces including the hex screw were in the box (I save those things for just in case). You might want a second person to help you. Assembly is very easy and even though I can't lift very well due to my back, I did it by myself and it took me 15 minutes, which means when I was healthy I could have put it together by myself in 5 minutes. It was easier to put together than most other assembly-required stuff. Instructions were clear. Be sure not to tighten the screws all the way until you have stuff "centered" and the other screws started. The arms may have to be adjusted (more on that below) after you assemble the entire chair and sit in it.
The chair is REALLY wide. the seat is a full 25 inches wide. I'm tall and have a big belly but am not that wide. For tall people who are not wide, this might not be the 100% best chair for you. The arms can be adusted inwards or outwards, and then the screws that hold them to the seat can be tightened (semi) permanently. This is why you don't want to completely tighten the arm screws until you've made sure. I have gotten the arm rests as close together as they will go and they are still too wide for me by about 3 inches. I have to spread out my arms a little bit. The closest I could get the arms were 23 inches from inner edge to edge. 20-21 inches would have been better. I can manspread my legs and they will never touch the armrests. They sit far enough back for that.
It appears to be bonded leather (you're not going to find a regular heavy leather desk chair at this price point, if one even exists.) It's a thick cushion, however I sink into it and it doesn't appear to be very firm. So my tailbone gets irritated. If you have problems with your tailbone then this might not be the answer. I do need one of those donuts to sit on and I was hoping I wouldn't with this, but I will. Since it's bonded leather, I can't sit here without a shirt, as I always do, I put a towel over the seat in case there are any food crumbs or minor spills of whatever I'm drinking. The back is comfortable but once again, I must wear a shirt or I'll stick to it. I'm going to measure the back and see about making a fabric cover for the back and one for the seat, out of some clearance isle flat sheets and some do-it-yourself elastic. Sort of a fitted sheet except for the chair parts.
My only two issues are the seat cushion, although thick, does not seem firm and my tailbone touches the hard surface; and the arms are too wide for me. It appears well made and it is easy to put together. It seems sturdy too, but I go through chairs every 2-3 years. This is warrantied for two years I believe, and it should last that long. It's worth the price if it does. If you are fat, very wide, and have a well cushioned booty (but not on the short end of the spectrum) then this should work great for you, and your complaint might be it's too far off the floor at the lowest setting. If you are very tall, not very wide, and/or have back issues -- especially with anything putting pressure on your tailbone, then this will work, but not perfectly. It's worth the price (under 300) and seems better than the one I spent 400 on 3 years ago. So three stars, maybe 3 and a half, not four stars.”
“Our dispatchers find the chair very comfortable. The only complaint the y have is that it is very difficult to roll on a chair pad. They find it easier to rill on the carpet itself. This will eventually damage the carpeting.”
“I been looking all over for a chair with a big seat, that is also comfy, I've owned a few chairs even a Herman Miller Aeron that I sent back because I just didn't find it comfy long term. Well this chair fit the bill, I was Wondering about ordering a chair from a company I just found during a google search but I'm glad I did, Great company and fast shipping... I'm a big guy, 6'4 340lbs this chair is bigger then I thought it was, the picture doesn't do it enough Justice, the seat is so big and nice, I have room about a inch on each side so its roomy, would buy again, I love it!”
