“STOCK PICS do not do this chair justice. My design is Swan White Vinyl, polished aluminum frame, silver mesh back with headrest, adjustable arms and carpet casters. This chair is worth consideration. The seat cushion is comfy and does exactly what I need..to stop numbness of the bottom and swelling/numbness going from the knees down. Rolling this chair is so simple even though it is heavy feeling. Assembly was a breeze and I did it myself, loaded the video from Btod website, and assembled right along with their video. I almost didn't purchase this chair because of its lack in curb appeal. I really struggled with that, for the $$$ I couldn't see having a chair that I hated the way it looked. BTOD doesn't have a way to design the chair and "VIEW" your specific design on their website. I went to Nightingale for that. I actually saw an old school you tube video that a gentleman did and he was demonstrating on a chair close to the design I used (if not the same, I can't remember). It was very appealing in the video so I went with it. It is what actually sold me on the "look" of the chair. The reclining mechanism is fantastic. BTOD does a good job with reviewing this chair (their review is what initially brought me to consider). I like the mesh back, I was surprised at how much I do like the mesh backing. I'm sure many are hesitant about the aluminum, but seriously, it makes a complete 180 (to me) in the look of this chair. Swivel is spot on and the texture foot rest on top of the frame is a bonus.
Now for the cons..I do not care for the knob used to turn for the reclining tension, its location is all the way up front, so you can't lean back and actually experience the change in tension while actually changing it, you have to keep leaning forward and backward until you get it right (but whats the harm in a little ab workout :). If you have or get arthritis you can forget about adjusting the tension. You'll never grip that knob and turn it. Lumbar support..If you want "significant" lumbar support (not this chair). Dont get me wrong, it has good lumbar support, It could be just a bit better though and really have AWESOME support. If it had just one more inward click, I think that would do it.
To sum it up, I WOULD buy this chair again knowing what I know. I enjoy sitting in it 12-16 hours a day, I use the headrest ALL THE TIME, and I'm grateful to BTOD for their demonstrations and reviews which initially turned me on to this chair.”
