“My Tambour Cabinet was fortunate find and purchase. It would be great for a home office, howeverI have placed it beside my bed where it serves as a combination file holder, medicine drawer, lamp stand, miscellaneous items holder - does a bit of everything. I got the optional laminate cover which is about an inch and a half thick, quite solid, and attaches more or less permanantly via sticky strips (you have to be careful to position it right the first time). No problem with putting cups or beverages on it, doesn't stain or discolor like wood. All in all a useful piece but not unattractive. Well constructed, solid, worth the price.”
