“I'm a neat freak and a messy desk is irritating. This cable management system is the ultimate solution for installing a long power strip for my sit/stand desk. The only visible cable is the one powering the desk motor.
I didn't love the price which is several times more that what you'd find on that "œbook retailer" site, but once installed, I felt better about the purchase.
Very sturdy construction, and the removable access panel is genius. Rubber grommets help protect wires from damage. I'm very pleased with this solution.”
“Perfect for builds with tons of wires like mine. I was concerned that this bulky thing would be an eye sore, but I placed it farther back from the edge of the desk and you can't even see it in most scenarios.”
“I have three monitors and a thunderbolt hub, which means I have four power bricks and other associated cables on my desk. This was the best, and only solution to get them all under control.
I have this paired with my vertdesk v3 legs and custom hard maple desk top, same black finish on both. It looks great on the desk.
I was pleased to find that the opening on the box also doesn't interfere with the vertdesk control box, since I have a snug fit with placement underneath my custom desk top.
Also worth noting is that the opening to the box is not hinged, the cover simply slides up and you set it to the side. Not a negative, but it wasn't clear in the photos. It probably also means there's more room to access everything you can cram into the box.
I would highly recommend the cable box for anyone with a large amount of cables and power bricks and surge protectors.”
“Product arrived damage. Outside box looks fine. Area where I had to screw into the desk is dented (right side is not salvageable). Styrofoam showed no signs of damage or indentation. Assuming this wasn't quality checked before it was shipped out.”
“BTOD.com are paying attention; they're not just a sales team, but a family of dedicated office equipment enthusiasts who truly understand the needs of professionals.
After doing the research to find a new standing desk and office chair, my first concern was how to manage the extensive number of cables I knew would need to be routed underneath the desk. Since I'm running both a PC and Mac (including an eGPU), multiple displays, external storage devices, and peripherals, I needed a cable management solution that was clean, flexible, and at the same time strong and reliable. The wire management box was engineered beautifully to fill all of these requirements.
It was surprisingly easy to install on even my 80x30 standing desk. Considering the desk's large frame and the position of the grommets, I assumed it was going to be challenging to find the right placement for the wire management box, but it's obvious BTOD.com did their research here and it fit the underside of the desk perfectly with plenty of breathing room for the desk's frame and wiring. Not only was I able to route all my cables and power strips into the box, there was ample space leftover to fit several of my external drives, allowing me to free up precious desk real estate and making my work area even more streamlined and usable.
If you're considering investing in a standing desk to alleviate chronic pain and the myriad health concerns that come along with sitting in an office chair for long periods of time, do yourself a favor and don't devalue that investment by screwing an army of flimsy, plastic channels under your desk which, while functional, really don't get the job done. These other wire management solutions are not going to cut it in the long term, and will only cheapen the bleeding edge work of design and engineering that is a modern standing desk,
The wire management box is a solution that genuinely checks every box. Instead of diminishing the value of your investment, it adds to it by removing the cable clutter in a clean and efficient way, while also being aesthetically unobtrusive in its simple yet effective design. Like the guys over at BTOD.com's YouTube channel, it doesn't beg for attention, it simply gets the job done, does it better than everything else.”
“Makes cable management a breeze. Good quality and thoughtfully designed. I only dropped a star because it's overpriced. A thin piece of metal with no moving parts or hinges or anything complicated shouldn't cost half of what this costs.”
