“I purchased the 'pogo' stool without having sat on it. I was skeptical if I would like it, but was overjoyed at its flexibility and how quickly it has fit into my work flow at my design table. Also, I liked the bright orange cover on the website, but was pleasantly surprised with the softness of the tangerine color.
I've had it 3 days and I'm sure to feel the same in the future as it grows and flows with me in the dance of my design work.”
“While the price point is seemingly a bit high for a stool, as a 200lb+ man over 6 feet tall, I just can afford to gamble my posture and physiological health on cheaper materials and shoddy engineering from other similar products. This stool suits my needs perfectly as a seating supplement to help engage my back and legs more throughout the day at my desk job. The cushion is large and comfortable, and the height adjustment is effortless.
Shipping took a bit longer than expected, but packaging and quality of the packing for such a heavy item was great.
My main complaint is that there is a ring of staples on the underside of the cushion that attach a black felt cover. These staples are jagged and protrude at weird angles as if they weren't fired with enough force to penetrate the wood base. I ended up cutting my finger pretty bad when lifting the stool. It's a quick fix with a hammer to ensure all the staples lay flat, but it's a pretty dumb quality control issue that shouldn't happen in the first place.”
“I wouldn't have called it a stool, its more of a leaning post. You cannot actually sit on it. I love it, but it does take some getting used to. While leaning on it, I started to change shoes to go for a walk, needless to say, don't do that, haha.”
“I wasn't so into this stool. I returned it quite quickly as the experience of having the stool to accompany my standing desk seemed anti-thetical and conducive to sitting instead of standing, which I didn't want to do. It's a cool stool but not the best for my setup”
“As a painter I prefer to stand but also want to sit and rest my back and legs. The Sitmatic Pogo stool allows me to do both. With the secure base, I feel safe with the Pogo stool while it allows my upper body some movement. I notice that sitting in the stool, you use abdominal muscles that's good for strengthening your body core while keeping your posture strong. The biggest challenge is that the chair itself doesn't move easily for me to get in and out. I place area rug underneath so I can scoot it forward or back.”
