Valo Magnum Mesh Back 24/7 Intensive Use Chair Rated For 400 lbs Reviews

4.5 Rating 21 Reviews
Seat cushion is comfy, which is nice, but overall I am underwhelmed. - lumbar support constantly slips out of place - arms only adjust for height, which is silly in 2022 (I removed them completely) - chair is about $400 too expensive for something that is mostly black plastic and requires assembly - generic parts bin casters, piston, and recline mechanisms - thick plastic rim around cushion will dead-leg you unless you prop your legs up via a footrest or similar It's fine but not worth $1,000.

Being 5'8'' and 220lbs, all I wanted was a standard office chair built like a tank. I didn't want a chair with a bunch of fancy features, or an overly wide seat. Almost a year in, and that's what this chair has been. Still as solid as day one. Very pleased.

Really like the chair. Very sturdy for a big guy. My only complaint is that the cushion could have a little more padding.

I've been using this chair for a few weeks now and it's one of the most well-built, comfortable chairs I've ever used. Assembly was straightforward with well-labeled hardware. The casters are very smooth, the adjustment options are just right barring the arm height. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the arms don't adjust as high as I would like them to. I was able to find some memory foam attachments that raise them up to a level I like, but I wish it came out of the box with a bigger range of arm-height adjustments. One caveat is that my desk doesn't have an adjustable keyboard tray, if it did this might be a non-issue. All in all I highly recommend this chair.

This is a very comfortable chair with excellent back and head support. My only frustrating gripe is the right armrest does not stay in the locked position. The latch constantly opens, allowing the armrest to fall. The left armrest stays secure, no issue whatsoever. BTOD had the mfr to send out a replacement armrest and eventually a replacement chair back, but the new parts failed the same as the old parts (which were also new). So I guess it is a design flaw or does not support a 300lb person sitting in the chair. Also, the height of the armrest for this chair is lower than all other ergonomic chairs I have previously used (this is the first ergonomic chair I have purchased from BTOD). It seems to be designed for under desk keyboard typing only. As with all chairs I have used for Big and Tall, the hydraulic cylinder does eventually work its way further down into the star-wheel base, lowering the overall height of the chair over time. Despite this failure, the chair is very comfortable and supports the back very well.

Great chair for heavier users (320 lbs in our case). Well built chair with great back support that looks good as well. Assembly took no more than ten minutes. Very sturdy.
