“Bought for Cadet Summer Camp 2022 purely because of price and has a red filter. Didn’t come with batteries but both came home in working order. As for durability when I asked I got the answer of “ it worked that’s all that matters”. Good for Basic up to 2star field craft and navigation it would appear”

“Looks to be good quality but it hasn’t been used yet, as it’s a Christmas gift, the slide for the red filter looks good quality so hopefully it’ll last well. I’m sure it’ll get used as a nightlight for reading before too long”

“The lense cover is held in place by two clips that were so flimsy I had to super glue them in place to prevent the cover falling open all the time. I had some difficulty getting it started despite putting the batteries in the right way round. After my repairs it works well.”
