“I paint Catholic Icons on wood. Each Icon that I make is a one-of-a-kind effort, and takes months, or even a year, to complete. Once they have been given to the new owner, they are gone, so I don't have them anymore. I did figure out that if I snap a photo of the Icon, at least I have something to remember it by. Eventually I learned how to make the photo the same size as the original Icon, and not at all angled or slanted, so that my photo is fairly correct. Well, the 40x50 offered in this promotion was perfectly sized for my MASTERPIECE that I finished just this year and had given to a friend as a gift, so I was delighted to send in a photo to get a canvas reproduction of the wood icon, and hang it on my own wall! My only difficulty was that I chose "mirror" for the outside edges, which I think may not have been a good choice, but I didn't have any way on this site to see how it would look that way. I made it work out by painting a solid stripe all around on the edges to cover up the "mirrored" edges, and that worked out fine.”
