“I found a pair of half sheet bun pans at Chef Equipment at a good price, so when I found this footed bun pan grate on sale, I had to grab it too! I was originally intending to use it as a cooling rack. I haven't used it for cooling yet - I've found it to be too invaluable to my food prep. It's solidly constructed, it held up well in a 450 F oven, and cleaning it wasn't hard.
I love its size - it's large enough to accommodate a double batch of meatballs, doubling up my production while cutting my prep time in half!
So far, much to my husband's delight, I've spatchcocked chickens to crispy perfection and baked up batches of lower fat meatballs that I've since frozen for future meals.
Was it worth the price? I think so.”
