I purchased two de buyer mineral B element fry pans. The smaller one I used and it is excellent . The larger one is unused . It is in its original packaging. I am returning it. I have a RMA # 02571745. Nothing happens .the Canpar doesn’t contact me. I want to purchase another pan but won’t because of this problem. Robert

So far, I think they are top of the line frying pans. I'm no expert, but I really like these pans for their quality feel and performance. I have an 8" and a 11", and I'll add a 12" soon. They are not super cheap pans, but well worth the money, and they'll last you a lifetime and probably your kid's and grand kid's lives too. I believe these pans will be the ones cherished as 3rd generation heirloom cook ware. They seem indestructible. From the good results I'm getting already, similar to my cast iron ones, these are fast becoming my favorite pans to work with in my kitchen, to the point that I have re-positioned all my pots and pans on the hooks above my head (log house and kitchen beams), to have them within reach like the cast iron ones. I am carefully seasoning them as I go, as in my opinion, that process takes longer than generally thought, and it needs to be done to get the results I'm looking for, mainly that they become like a Teflon pan, to have an even, smooth baked on patina, which makes it far easier to cook with. After the seasoning process, the food you fry in them just slides off when you're done. I'm thankful for these pans, they are an opportunity to own good quality kitchen tools, and in my eyes, being a food lover, these fit the bill!

The sizing is a bit deceiving because the cooking base is a lot! Smaller! Than the diameter advertised. Seasoning is more difficult to do well vs. Cast iron. Once ready the skillet works as advertised except if you place it on an element larger than the base it may bulge down in the middle, and if y,ou place it on an element smaller than the base, the centre gets very hot, expands, and humps up. Either way the pan is ruined. I went back to cast iron after wrecking a matter and a de buyer and a Chinasium one.

Decent selection of products, excellent competitive prices, fast (and free) shipping. I would 100% recommend chefequipment.com and also de Buyer pans. It feels like a very quality product and after using it for a couple of weeks I am not disappointed. In hindsight the 8" may be a tad small but its fine for frying an egg or two or something simple. Easy to season and feels good in the hand. Using it on glass top electric stove, no warping so far.
