I received this watch as a Christmas gift from my wife and immediately became my favorite watch in my collection. I love the way the second hand automatically corrects itself once its exposed to daylight after being in the dark for hours. The colors offset each other Beautifully and it has a beautiful face and OVERALL great design. I always receive compliments on it, and most importantly i love the no battery factor. BEAUTIFUL , elegant, and classic timepiece. Thank you CITIZEN; my first watch from your company; but you've gained a lifetime customer who will purchase many more watches.

My whole life I have owned a cheap 'work' watch. If it got broke then I wasn't out much. I am close to retirement and wanted something better. A friend helped me learn about the better grades of watches and assisted in my selection. I am a picky person and was pulled toward the gold band and dark background. I was also surprised to see that very few watches with the numerous dials put these dials to use for something as common as the date. I have no need for 'timers' so this limited my selection. The Eco-Drive and perpetual calendar was also a nice step up from my 'work' watch. You can go crazy in pricing of nice watches so I limited myself to under $1000. For that price range i am very happy with the quality and performance of the watch. The band release is very smooth. The first time I took my watch off I didn't even feel it release. Very ergonomically designed. Being a man I have hairy arms. The band does not pull any hairs when I wear it. Overall I am very pleased with the watch. If i had to improve it in some way I would make the date 'hole' larger and the date display closer to the surface. For single digit days its not to bad to try to read. For double digit days you have to 'try' to read them a little harder. In low light its very difficult to read the double digit dates. I am told that bezel's with a circular 'magnifier' can be purchased, i think if they aren't going to change what I mentioned than the magnifier should come standard. I was disappointed to learn there is no way to determine the eco-drives battery charge level. Most other eco-drive's have either a designated dial or a button combination for this. The calendar month can only be displayed by putting the watch in the calendar mode which enables the second hand to point at the month listed around the dial. It works, but not a preferred method.
