Great watch that does its job very well. I wanted a durable watch that does not need to be constantly charged. Smart watches are not very smart on day 3 of a backpacking trip so the Altichron eco-drive is perfect for the outdoors. The altimeter and compass were more accurate than I thought they would be. Calibrating them can take a bit of patience, but well worth the effort.

Bought the watch from a local dealer the style caught my eye immediately ! As a watch collecter with over 30 watches of all makes and models from Swiss to American and everything in between, I’m always on the look out for different . The band is comfortable after break in period and the watch is comfortable on the wrist . Cool features with the compass and alt meter that lets be honest 99% of the people buying this watch will never use but good to know you can ! Over all nice watch for the money . My 4th citizen watch over the years all have been great !

Features: - 77 page user manual - Hard to calibrate altimeter (barometric pressure based) - Low accuracy altimeter (not to be trusted) - Low accuracy compass (not to be trusted) - Awful silicone strap (pulls arm my hair) - 2 free loop too tight, making tucking the end of the strap in or out very difficult - Buckle difficult to close and open - Ulnar (wrist bone) being bruised by the lug I find the watch attractive, but in my opinion the band is very poor. I understand why Citizen chose a silicone band for this watch because it is intended to be used in active situations, but the heaviness of the watch required a choice wear the watch as a tourniquet or allow it to flop around on my wrist. In either mode it causes me discomfort by bumping into and / or applying constant pressure to my ulnar bone. The truly disappointing part is that the "active" features (altimeter and compass) are low accuracy and require the watch to have a minimum battery charge and cannot be used in a continuous mode.... My cell phone is massively better at providing an accurate altimeter and compass, so I consider these features poorly implemented on the watch as essentially "toy" modes of operation (and as such a bad value). I purchased the watch from the Citizen site and for the price I am extremely disappointed.
