Tsuki-yomi A-T Reviews

4.6 Rating 88 Reviews
Read CITIZEN Reviews

When breakthrough technology and spectacular design meet, the Tsuki-yomi A-T is reading the moon. It’s the world’s first moonphase watch combined with atomic timekeeping innovation from Citizen, and this 30th Anniversary model is nothing short of impressive. The styling embodies the moon’s surface and a window at 6 o’clock displays the current moon phase. The timepiece measures 43mm in a silver-tone Super Titanium™ case, where sharp faceted edges pair with an elevated design throughout for an eye-catching aesthetic on the wrist. The gray dial works in tandem with black accents and silver-tone touches for a display that’s as handsome as it is legible. In addition to its running time, the watch features a moon phase display, world time in 24 time zones, a perpetual calendar, and day-date functionality. Powered by Citizen’s proprietary Eco-Drive technology to provide light-powered vitality without ever needing a battery. Water resistant up to 100 meters. Caliber H874.

This is a fantastic watch. The full moon is officially today, and the moon phase on the watch is spot on. I have read some reviews that said it took days to set the watch. That is nonsense, as the only setting that needs to be done is the time zone. Everything else, including the moon phase, is automatically set by receiving the atomic signal. I have also read that the gray dial makes it harder to read the time, as the minute and hour hands are white. Again, this is nonsense, as the dial is easy to read and the gray dial is more in line with the moon theme. Buy this watch....you will not be sorry.

Really would be perfect, but had some issues with the wrist band link pins not staying in place, not a fan of this type of link pin.

This is an absolutely gorgeous watch and I'm very pleased with it. You won't find many true moon phase watches for less and if you Google around a bit you'll find discount codes for 10-20% off the purchase price. I decided to also take advantage of the band sizing service at check-out. I normally resize all of my watches personally but I was curios to know if the service provided by Citizen was any good. To my surprise, the watch showed up a little early and was sized perfectly which saved me the time and labor of doing it myself. Just because I have the tools and do the resizing myself on my other watches doesn't mean I enjoy it, so the free resizing service by Citizen was much appreciated. The watch itself is beautiful and someone at the factory had already set the watch to the correct time zone before shipping so all I had to do was unbox it and strap it on. The watch is very light being that it's made of titanium so I can understand why some reviewers say it feels cheap, but I appreciate the the light weight because I travel long distances and it's nice to have less weight on my wrist to deal with when I'm having to drag luggage thru airports. I love having a true moon phase watch that looks like a mechanical watch but has the added advantage of never needing to be set to the correct time or moon phase. I highly recommend this watch if you're looking for your first Citizen or your first moon phase watch.

Everything from the website and how to view the products in 3D to receiving the watch was amazing. I got it sized using their guide but would recommend going a little bigger. Once the watch arrived it came set with the correct date and time for my time zone which was awesome and a nice surprise!

I received my gray dial Tsuki-yomi back in June, and I must say that I don't think I'll be seeking out another watch for some time. Strictly from a spec-perspective, I think this may be the best "grab-and-go" piece you can get on the market. It retails for close to 900 USD, but I got mine for around 650. If this were a Swiss brand, it'd easily be a six-figure purchase. I think the setup can be cumbersome at first, but it is the most accurate watch in my collection. Every night the Tsuki-yomi syncs to an atomic clock. I have frequently noticed that it is as accurate as my phone, even down to the second. The titanium build is lightweight, and the watch features everything that I could ever care about: day/date complication, moon phases, AM/PM marker, multiple time-zones, etc. I debated getting the blue dial, but I love how the gray and black play with each other here. Because of the nature of watches and branding, I often thought of purchasing an Explorer or an Aqua Terra or something else. However, I have lost most of that desire after owning the Tsuki-yomi. It fits my sensibilities and lifestyle a lot more. And, honestly, it's as much a luxury as one could ask for.

This watch clicked all the check marks for me. Titanium metal, atomic timing, moon phase, solar charging. Not to mention great looking. It’s my daily companion. The watch arrived from Citizen in perfect shape and on time. Very satisfied customer - thank you for a great timepiece!

I’ve been a long time Apple Watch user but I’ve wanted to disconnect a bit from all the notifications. However, I also wanted a watch that had some cool tech, such as moon phase, eco drive, and atomic timekeeping. It was hard to find one that checks all the boxes but this does. It’s beautiful and so light due to the super titanium! I barely feel it compared to my Apple Watch Ultra. Great watch!

Bought as a gift for husband along with a Seiko persage from another site. He's happy with the gift and likes the radio features, moon phases, and eco drive where he doesnt have to wind or set the watch and likes the style
